 ०४. ठिपकेवाला मुनिया

             ठीपकेवाला मुनिया हा एक पक्षी आहे. चॉकलेटी रंगाचा, चिमणीपेक्षा लहान असलेला हा पक्षी पोटाच्या बाजूने पांढऱ्या रंगाचा असतो. पोटावर काळ्या पिसांची जाळीदार नक्षी दिसते. मुनियाची चोच बुडाशी जाड आणि टोकाशी निमुळती होत गेलेली असते. मुनियाचं घरटं छोट्या चेंडूसारखं दिसतं. या चेंडूला वरच्या दिशेनं असलेलं वाटोळं भोक म्हणजे घरट्याचं दार असतं. हा पक्षी ऐन पावसाळ्यात आपलं घरटं बांधतो. गवताची पाती वाऱ्यावर डोलण्याइतकी मोठी झाली, की पिटुकला मुनिया घरटं बांधायला सुरवात करतो. मुनिया आपलं घरटं झाडावर बांधतो. नद्यांच्या किंवा तलावाच्या काठी असलेल्या गवताळ  प्रदेशात मुनियाची  घरटी आढळतात.

04. Dotted Munia

Thipkewala Munia is a bird. Chocolate-colored, smaller than a chimney, the bird is white on its belly. A black feather mesh pattern appears on the abdomen. The beak of the muniya is thick with the bud and tapering towards the tip. Munia's nest looks like a small ball. The hole in the top of the ball is the nest door. This bird builds its nest in the rainy season. The leaves of the grass became so big that they swayed in the wind. Munia builds her nest on a tree.
